One Day PAT Testing Training Classes

PASS provide Portable Appliance Testing classes which are designed to give delegates all of the knowledge and skills they need to become
fully competent PAT technicians.

The course covers theory, legislation and hands-on exercises all in-line with the current IEE code of practice. The training is carried out in venues across the UK and Ireland . See below a list of venues and dates available for tuition.

Practical & theory all in one course

Our one day course gives you the theory about Portable Appliance Testing and also practical experience at using the PAT Testing equipment. Delegates must identify a number of faulty electrical appliances using the portable appliance equipment and machinery. By the end of this programme you will be confident enough to carry out testing on your own, out in the field.

We also run on-site private classes for organisations with a larger training need. These cover everything included in the scheduled classes but can also be tailored to your organisations specific needs.

Training DVD and online Examination

The Essential Guide to PAT Testing DVD is an exclusive teaching programme produced by PASS to allow you to train yourself in the skills of Portable Appliance Testing.

Customers can learn from scratch or refresh existing knowledge of Portable Appliance Testing. Endorsed by NAPIT—National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers, the DVD allows you to learn at your own pace and comes with an online examination that can be taken when you are ready.

On completion of the exam you get a certificate of technical competence, which can be downloaded and printed from your own computer.

Customers can also purchase additional exams if they wish to share the DVD with others and allow them to also become certified pat technicians.
